Psychiatric hospital Ugljan is a health establishment with rich experience and tradition in carrying medical sanatory protection of mental health of people.

Hospital is located on one of the most beautiful islands Ugljan in the city of Ugljan. Hospital spreads on 84.940 m² . Throughout all sections of treatments it can take up to 483 patients a day, and with capacity of 483 beds, during one year hospital treats around 1070 patients.

In treatments various therapies are used: from medication therapy, psychopharmaco-therapy, individual and group psychotherapy, sociotherapy trough work occupational techniques, and all to accomplish that patients can accomplish ease which lacks in real life. Ultimate goal is resocializing of the patients, i.e. its return to the family, work place and in society as active, equal and competitive member.

Doctors work 24 hours (in shifts). There is all together 300 workers employed. 209 employees are physicians and health associates. There is 13 doctors specialits-pyschiatrists and 108 nurses employed. Treatments are done also in Daily hospital, which has capacity of 20 chairs. In Daily hospital there is one doctor specialist-psychiatrist and one nurse.

Medical departments work in 3 shifts during 24 hours. Psychiatric hospital Ugljan is in pavilion style and in 6 buildings are situated 12 departments and Daily hospital.

Up to this work PB Ugljan has successfully worked with other hospitals, and this cooperation will continue in the future.
